Elsewhere in the top divisions, with just four points separating Ystrad Rhondda and Rumney in the table – third and fifth in the division respectively – it was no surprise to see them draw 10-10. Rumney battled back from 10-0 down and Ystrad finished a bad-tempered clash with 13 men.
In the North, Bala moved away from Abergele in mid-table with a 23-6 a win thanks to a pair of late tries. There were also wins in the North for Ruthin, who beat Llangefni 31-15, Nant Conwy who were 33-8 winners over Dolgellau and COBRA who edged Caernarfon 18-17.
In Division One East, Ynysybwl consolidated their position at the summit, as they saw of the challenge of third-placed Brynmawr with a 31-10 victory. Two tries from Joseph Williams, and scores from Nathan Ellis, Dale Stuckey and Ollie Rees gave them the bonus point win.
Second-placed Penallta kept the pressure on Ynysybwl as they ran out 20-16 winners away to Senghenydd.
In Division One West Central, Ammanford hammered fellow high-flyers Bonymaen 35-0. Tries from Rhydyan Morris, Andrew Owen, Dafydd Pritchard, Craig Woodall and Chris Morris secured the win.
Runaway leaders Skewen demolished Seven Sisters 49-5. Matthew Billet scored a brace and Aled Mogford, Gareth Morris and Jordan Adderley also scored. Anthony Boselli added 19 points from outside-half.
In the West, league leaders Dunvant edged a tight game against Crymych, winning 19-13. The game remained open and fast until Dunvant were awarded a penalty try in the final minutes to secure the win.
Second placed Felinfoel could only draw away at Whitland. Whitland led 6-3 until the last kick of the game where Felinfoel sneaked a last gasp 6-6 draw.
