Both teams come into this encounter on the back of encouraging league wins on the road, Ponty by 20-24 at Aberavon and the Keys by 12-24 at Bridgend. Those results saw Pontypridd regain their top of the table status whilst Cross Keys remained in sixth place. There are nine points currently separating the two teams but Cross Keys having two games in hand.

There were a few casualties from Ponty’s away win at Aberavon, with prop Chris Phillips (knee), flanker Wayne O’Connor (rib) and No8 Dan Godfrey (hamstring) all sidelined. Coming back from injury to take a place on the bench is hooker Ashleigh James.
