It is the final push in the regular Premiership season with the three play-off places still very much up for grabs. Llandovery, who beat Pontypridd in last weekend’s Cup semi-final at Swansea, are one point off the top spot with two games left to play.

The Drovers head to Carmarthen tonight and then go to the BT Sport Arms Park to meet Cardiff on Saturday. Reigning champions Pontypridd currently head the table and host Newport at Sardis Road tonight.

The Black & Ambers are currently fourth in the table with two games left to play and are still very much in the hunt for a lay-off place. If they can upset Ponty then they could throw wide-open the final weekend’s matches.

Newport host Llanelli on Saturday and have a four point gap to make up on the league leaders. Ebbw Vale sit in third place with one game left to play – at home against Aberavon on Sunday.

Cross Keys, who were pipped by Quins in last weekend’s Cup semi-final at Aberavon, are the only side with three games left to play and could easily reach the top three. They return to the Talbot Athletic Ground tonight to face the Wizards, head to The Gnoll on Saturday to face Neath and complete their fixtures at home to Bedwas on Tuesday, 26 April.

While Greg Woods’ side will be seeking to exorcise some demons tonight they will also know they face a tough trip this weekend following Neath’s first win of the season last weekend. They overcame an early 14 point deficit to run out 42-22 victors’ over Llanelli to make it a win at the 21st time of trying in the Premiership this campaign.

Tries from Nathan Hart and Greg George, the latter converted by Wales Under 20 outside half Billy McBryde, gave the visitors a flying start, but home tries from Chris Morgans and Sion Howells helped to even things up. It was 14-14 at the break, but after Llanelli lost skipper Jonny Lewis to a second yellow card in the second half Neath went on to run in four more tries through Ed Howley (2), Steffan Jones and Josh Jones
