The 19-year-old, standing at 6ft 4ins and 16st, joins from hometown club Mountain Ash. And he will take his first steps into the Principality Premiership this season under the watchful eye of former Wales lock Rob Sidoli, now forwards coach at Sardis Road.

“We have good links with Mountain Ash and Sean was recommended to us as a young player with the ability to step up to Premiership level. He is athletic and strong, but is also an intelligent player,” said Sidoli.

“Those are good attributes which we can develop, We look forward to working with Sean, to see how he progresses at senior level.”

Moore steps into the Pontypridd squad to replace Shaun O’Rourke who has stood down due to work commitments after one season at Sardis Road.
