All eyes were on Parc Stephens where Gar Rees kicked Kidwelly into a 15-9 lead at the end of a tightly contest tussle.
Rees then nudged the Black & Ambers further ahead with his sixth penalty before Wanderers fly-half Jonathan George stole the show – and the win – for the visitors.
George had already kicked three penalties before he slipped through for the only try of the game, that he converted. The Maroons star then held his nerve to convert another penalty snatch a dramatic 19-18 victory and closed the gap on league leaders Kidwelly to a point in the table.
A hat-trick of tries from hooker Scott Pritchard secured Rhydyfelin a bonus-point win to keep them top of the East division in a ten-try demolition of Blaenavon. Kevin Briggs, Mark Tyler, Dai Gratton, Ross Lucas, Fforest Quirke, Chris Tottle and Luke Rees also crossed to send the league leaders on their way to a 62-5 scoreline. However rivals Penallta were not to be outdone as they romped to an 88-12 win away to Brecon.
North leaders Pwllheli extended their gap at the top with a 71-3 victory over bottom-placed Ruthin at Parc Bodegroes where Nick Butterworth and Kalim Kelemete both scored a hat-trick while Osian Jones added a try to his eight conversions in a 21-point haul. Second-place Bala went down 17-13 away to Mold while Caernarfon saw off strugglers COBRA 53-5.
After six successive defeats, Llantwit Fadre secured their first win in East-Central as they picked up a bonus-point 27-22 win away to fellow strugglers Rumney despite tries for the hosts through Sol Matthews, Wayne Dacruz and Chris Harris.
League leaders Treorchy consolidated their place at the top with a convincing 52-17 win over Llanharan. Ryan Evans and Lloyd Williams both scored a brace as the Zebras helped themselves to seven tries, all converted by Jordan Lloyd, who finished with 17 points.
Two tries from Rhodri Jones helped lift Builth Wells off the foot of the table in the West-Central Division.
Further tries from Henry Leach, Dan Oakley and Ben Duggan secured the 32-26 win over Cwmllynfell at the Groe. Leaders Aberavon Quins remain six points clear of Bonymaen following a 34-12 bonus-point victory over Maesteg.
