After a dismal Christmas period, the Ravens have bounced back to steal victories against Pontypridd, Newport and Cardiff to propel themselves up to tenth in the league table and into the next round of the Swalec Cup.

Llandovery sit just two places and three points above Bridgend, albeit with a game in hand and the Ravens head to Church Bank knowing a victory would continue their surge up the division.

The Drovers already have one win against the Ravens to their name this season, a comfortable 48-13 win at the Bridgend Ford Brewery Field in mid November. It was a decent first half showing from Bridgend, but they fell to pieces in a dismal second period.

Paul Young and Mike Hook largely stick with the team which has delivered some fantastic results in the past fortnight. Top try scorer Tom O’Flaherty comes back into the backline with Matthew Phillips retaining his place in the pack after a well deserved rest in midweek.

Bridgend Ravens: Owen Howe, Tom O’Flaherty, Chris Lewis, Adam Williams, Alex Fenton, James Dixon, Chris Williams; Gary Carpenter, Ashleigh James (c), Cai Lewis, Henri Williams, Ben Jones, Andrew Waite, Adam O’Driscoll & Matthew Phillips.

Replacements: Huw Wilkes, Mitchell Auger, Steve John, Dai Barry, Ashton Evans, Derrick Tredray, Liam Jones, Steve Winn.
