At present the Quins are clinging on to third position in the Premiership while their opponents lie in 10th place.
Both teams have played 17 league games with the Quins winning 10 and Neath five. In the corresponding fixture on 14th November 2014 the Quins won narrowly at the Gnoll (28-26) with a last minute score.
Both sides have had a rather up and down 2015 as far as results are concerned. The Quins have lost games they feel they should have won and while Neath were surprisingly knocked out of the cup by RGC 1404 they bounced back last weekend with a 15-10 win against Cardiff.
Perhaps more worrying for the Quins recently is the fact that against both Cardiff and Bedwas they started the game impressively scoring two tries in first 10 minutes only to see both fixtures slip away from them and conceded over 30 points in the process. This is not a trend they will want to repeat this Saturday.
As the end of the season approaches every game takes on renewed importance. The Quins need to win if they are to stay in with an opportunity of reaching the play offs while Neath will want to pull further away from the bottom club. Either way this will be a close game and the Quins will need to get back to their earlier form in the season if they are to secure the league points this Saturday.
