Once again, the Millennium Stadium Finals Day will be a true celebration of the best Welsh club rugby has to offer with the SSE SWALEC Bowl kicking off proceedings at 1pm, the Plate Final kicking off at 3.15 and the SSE SWALEC Cup Final completing the rugby-packed event at 5.35pm.
All three finals will be broadcast by WRU broadcast partner S4C and tickets for the whole of Finals Day are £10 for adults and £5 for Under 16s.
WRU Head of Sales and Marketing Craig Maxwell said, “Along with our community rugby partners, SSE SWALEC, we want to create an unforgettable day on May 3, not only for the players, coaches and match officials involved in the three SSE SWALEC Finals, but for all the supporters, both partisan and neutral that come to the Millennium Stadium to celebrate the achievements of the teams and the values that Welsh club rugby represents.”
Colin Banks, interim head of sponsorship at SSE SWALEC, added: “Our strong partnership with the WRU and its clubs goes back a number of years and we’re very pleased to be supporting Finals Day for the seventh year running. It has been strong season for Welsh rugby as a whole, and Finals Day promises to deliver another fantastic day of grassroots rugby for the Welsh fans.”
Sue Butler, S4C Sports Editor said. “The SSE Swalec Finals Day is one of the highlights of the Welsh rugby calendar and we are delighted to be the host broadcaster at the Millennium Stadium this year once again. It reflects our commitment to providing live and highlights coverage of rugby at all levels in Wales, from schools and colleges rugby through to club rugby, Pro12, European competitions and the 2015 Rugby World Cup.”
