The clubs current league standing is largely irrelevant as far as this match is concerned and quite simply it will come down to the best team on the day.

Historically the Quins have fared very well against Bridgend, winning 13 out of their 17 contests, however Carmarthen are still without several influential players such as Lee Williams, Jason Harries, Shaun Jones, Haydn Pugh, Sion Bennett, Will Boyde, Dion Jones, Ryan Elias and Jevan Sebastian. It remains to be seen whether their absence will have any bearing on the result.

The players who are available are more than capable of achieving a result and, the prospect of taking the club to Finals day and playing at the Millennium Stadium will hopefully inspire them to victory.

The squad sees several changes from the team that lost to Llandovery last Sunday. Chris Banfield comes in at full back and Rhys Williams resumes his position at inside centre. Craig Evans starts at 10 with Dan Jones on the bench after he came off injured last week.

In the forwards Ellis Lloyd returns, with the number 6 shirt being worn by Rhodri Clancy, who normally plays hooker. Gethin Robinson comes back in at prop and Ian Jones captains the side. On the bench the only named front row replacement is Steff Phillips.
