However, the 22-year-old will not be fit in time for this weekends European Rugby Champions Cup clash with Norhampton Saints.
Abrasive ball-carrier Baker, who has started the season with a bang, was sent to hospital after suffering a neck injury in the second-half of the 42-7 Pool Five victory.
The game was halted for a significant period of time as Baker received treatment from medics on the pitch before being placed in a neck brace.
An Ospreys statement said: “Ospreys medics have confirmed that Dan Baker suffered ‘no serious injury’ in Sunday’s win over Benetton Treviso.
“The number eight was stretchered off and taken straight to Morriston Hospital as a precautionary measure after taking a bang to the head and complaining of neck pain.
“He was discharged late on Sunday night after undergoing a range of tests, and other than soft tissue damage he sustained no serious injury.
“After a couple of days rest he will begin his rehab at Llandarcy this week but will not be considered for Saturday’s game against Northampton Saints.”
The injury came just two days before Warren Gatland names his Wales squad for the Autumn International series – with test matches against Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Fiji next month.
Immediate reports from the Ospreys camp suggested the former Wales Under 20 – who is a strong candidate to start in the back row against Australia in less than three weeks time – was sitting up and talking following the incident.
Baker had earlier scored the Welsh region’s fourth try as they cruised to an opening European Rugby Champions Cup victory over the hapless Italians.
