With an extensive rugby background Thomas was a successful addition to the coaching team, and helped develop the current crop of young front row players at Rodney Parade. He joined the Dragons as a coach in July 2012 after retiring from the game.
Director of Rugby Robert Beale, said: “It’s been a pleasure working with Iestyn this season, his ability to pass on his knowledge and experience of front row play will be sorely missed on the training field.”
