Wales A recovered fronm their eight try mauling in Ireland to get back on the victory trail with an impressive win over France at Cardiff Arms Park.
Neath wing Shane Williams scored the only try of the game, while his club-mate Lee Jarvis kicked three penalties and a drop goal to grab a morale boosting win.
The French took an early lead with a 40 metre penalty from outside half Jean-Frederic Dubois, but by the break Jarvis had kicked three peanlties to edge his team infront.
Dubois kicked a second penalty shortly after the restart, but the decisive moment came when Gareth Wyatt kicked from the right wing to the left to allow his fellow speedster Shane Williams the chance to run 15 metres to the line for a try. Jarvis added a late drop goal and the game was won.
