Wales Youth Lose Out In Portugal
Ten days before the Six Nations clash between Wales and Italy, the Italy u-18’s have pointed the way for the senior side, by beating Wales Youth 23-15 in the opening game of this years ‘International Quadrangular Tournament’ in Portugal. The tournament involving youth sides from Wales, Italy, Spain and Portugal
The Italian under 18side performed Well against a Welsh Youth side that has remained unbeaten in this tournament since its inception in 1999.
The Wales Youth side, although looking powerful in the forwards, struggled to defend against skilful and incisive Italian play, and it was a good win for the Italian u-18s.
