Six Nations A Championship News
Wales bounced back from their opening round defeat in Cork to beat France in Cardiff last Friday, and it is only England and Italy who have yet to win a match. The senior Irish side may have been given the run around at Twickenham, but their A side is sitting proudly at the top of the Six Nations A Championship table after two rounds.
Reggie Corrigan’s side followed up their 55-22 beating of Wales with a two tries to nil away victory over England and are the only undefeated side in the championship.
England drew with Scotland in their first outing and were second best to the Irish. All their points in two matches have come from the boot of Leicester Tigers outside half Andy Goode.
The Scots, meanwhile, had Duncan Ross to thank for their last gasp escape in Italy, where his late conversion gave them a 30-29 triumph. The Italians are still looking for their first win in the Six Nations A Championship, although the signs are they are getting stronger with every game…
