Wales Youth Teams Win Again
Wales gained victories in under-16 and under-18 away matches last Saturday in Italy and Portugal respectively. The under-16 side played their first international of the season and followed up the A team win last Thursday by 16-13 as they met and defeated the full Italian side in Calvisano and came away with a 27-17 success.
Three of the four Wales tries came from their wings with a brace for Jon Brinkworth (Bishop of Llandaff, Cardiff) and one for Chris Czekaj (Corpus Christi). The final try of the match was scored by full back Aaron Bramwell (Llangatog Comp), who converted two of the tries.
In Coimbra, Portugal, Wales under-18 Youth defeated the Portugal under-19 side by 46-12 to win the quadrangular tournament.Andrew Kingdom (Llandovery) on the Wales wing scored one of the tries, thus Marks (Llandovery) 2, wing Dan Hitchings (Treorchy) 2, centre Aaron May (Swansea) and centre Viv Jenkins (Carmarthen Quins).Full back Leon Andrews converted four of the tries and landed a penalty with Wales having lead 27-0 at the interval.
