Numerous ticket outlets will also be open on Westgate Street from 10.00am on matchday. Prices are £15 and £10 for adults and £5 concessions.

Last-second penalty by Cormack missed and Cardiff went on to beat Llanelli in the final by 15-8.

Neil Jenkins, Lee Jarvis (now Neath) and coach Lynn Howells all began with Pontypridd and came to Cardiff. Howells and Jarvis returned to Sardis Road for a second spell. Martyn Williams began with Pontypridd and is now in the Cardiff squad, while Paul John played in Cardiff’s first-ever league match in 1990, but later returned to Pontypridd. The fine Pontypridd servant, Matthew Lloyd, began his rugby career at Cardiff. Of the current squads, Cardiff’s Emyr Lewis played in his first final in 1990-91 season in the winning Llanelli side.
