Wwru New Faces!

In conjunction with the National Squad Sponsors, PHS Group, and Sportsmatch, the WWRU has appointed two part time development officers to cover both West and North Wales.
Current National Squad player Kylie Wilson will be responsible for the North where she will work alongside the Dragon Development Officers in being solely responsible for the development of Women and Girls rugby.
Ex Narberth coach Kenny Davies will oversee developments in West Wales. Both appointments are a significant boost to the game. The main focus will be developing U13-U19 rugby at those clubs who already run a ladies section as well as looking into coach education, refereeing and first aid courses.
Director of Women’s Rugby Richard Hodges said ” These appointments show how far we have come in two years but also how we are planning to get bigger and better in the coming seasons. Kylie and Kenny are ideal appointments for the tasks that lie ahead and we look forward to the game developing significantly in these areas.”
