Jenks Is Back!
Neil Jenkins is named in the Cardiff squad of 22 to play Caerphilly in the Welsh/Scottish league tomorrow evening (kick-off 7.15pm).
The 83-times capped fly-half has reported fit after nine months on the sidelines with a knee injury. He has scored 636 points in 42 games in his previous two seasons at the club and begins Wednesday’s Welsh/Scottish League fixture on the replacements’ bench.
With him on the bench will be his former Wales and Lions half-back partner Rob Howley, together with three other internationals as coach Rudy Joubert makes 10 changes in the starting line-up.
Nick Walne partners Matt Allen in the centre and plays his 50th game for the club. On the wing Anthony Sullivan wins his club cap by playing his 20th game of the season.
Adam Jones and Luke Tait continue in the second row though it is hoped that John Tait will have shaken off a back injury. If so, he will be on the replacements’ bench.
