Payback Time For Neath

Payback Time For Neath

Neath coach Lyn Jones will use Saturday’s Welsh/Scottish league match against Ebbw Vale to take revenge upon the Steelmen for dumping them out of the Principality Cup.
The Welsh All Blacks went down 20-10 to Ebbw at Eugene Cross Park in February, but have bounced back, battling their way into the Welsh/Scottish League top three with a victory over Newport earlier this week.
And Jones is putting all his efforts into maintaining Neath’s lofty league position for the closing matches of the season.
” We are still reeling from our Principality Cup defeat at Eugene Cross Park in February,” said Jones.
“It’s payback time and we are up for the match. We have targeted this match, and it is a must win if we are to finish the league in the manner our supporters expect although Ebbw Vale are a much improved side over recent months. “
The Neath team to play Ebbw Vale at The Gnoll, on Saturday 20th April 2002,
kick off at 2.30pm is as follows : –
Neath: Gareth Morris; Kevin James, James Storey, Allan Bateman, Dean Dewdney, Lee Jarvis, Andy Moore, Duncan Jones, Steve Jones, Andrew Millward, Steve Martin, Gareth Llewellyn (Captain), Alfie Mocelutu, Brett Sinkinson, Nathan Bonner-Evans.
Replacements: Shaun Connor, Barry Williams, Dave Tiueti, Adam Jones, Paul
James, Rowland Phillips, Steve Tandy
Fixture news: The Welsh Scottish league match at the Gnoll against Edinburgh on Saturday 27th April has a revised kick off time at 2.00pm. The match (away) against Swansea has been moved to Tuesday 7th May, with kick off at 7.00pm
