Hansen Warns Of Krige Threat

Steve Hansen has warned his side to beware of the return of South African talisman Corne Krige ahead of the second Test in Cape Town this weekend.
Having missed the first test with a rib injury, the powerful flanker has been thrust back into the squad for the showdown at Newlands on Saturday.
Krige’s absence in the 34-19 victory was a huge blow to the Springboks.
And Hansen has warned against the threat Krige brings to the South African side.
“Corne is a very experienced leader and a great player,” he said.
“He is very good on the ground, a good forager and he is an out and out warrior for any side he plays for.
“Corne has his own aura and we have to be aware of that. As a player he has been around a long time and he is a player you have to watch. There is no question he is good value for the Springboks.
“He is a hard man and he puts body on the line. He is hard but fair and I haven’t seen many players tougher than him.”
South African coach Rudolf Straeuli is downcast at his side’s first-half performance against Wales in Bloemfontein and wants to add some steel to the side.
“It is encouraging that the likes of Krige have recovered from injury,” he said. “He adds depth to our squad.”
