“I have made no secret of my desire to coach South Africa,” said Joubert, who has been told that the next Springbok coach will come from a Super 12 team.

Joubert was just beaten by Rudi Straeuli for the Springbok job last March.

Swansea’s new coach, Australian John Connolly has brought in a fellow ustralian Paul Healy as his assistant at St Helen’s.Healy was also Connolly’s assistant at Stade Francais last season.

One man going out of a Premier club is Tony (‘Charlie’) Faulkner, who parts company with Caerphilly, following on the footsteps of previous head coach Terry Holmes. This leaves Mark Ring in complete control of the coaching at the Virginia Park club.
