The Ravens had won only three of their previous thirteen league matches to date but produced a sparkling performance to down their high-flying visitors.

Outside-half Mark David led the way with a brace of tries while further efforts from winger Dan Connolly and scrum half Jonny Hoper secured a vital bonus point for the home side.

Neath capitalised on Ebbw Vale’s slip-up as flanker James Merriman grabbed a pair of tries in his side’s 35-22 triumph at Glamorgan Wanderers while Aberavon continued their fine form of late with a 27-15 victory over Newport.

Grant Epton raced in for Maesteg’s only try as they recorded a rare 17-13 win at home to Llanelli and at the Bridge Field Cross Keys winger Gareth Williams broke Bedwas hearts as the substitute darted over in the fourth minute of injury time to snatch an 18-14 victory.

Sunday saw Cardiff suffer a home defeat as Swansea powered to a 14-5 result, the boot of Jonny Lewis securing nine points for the visiting side.
