The Welsh Rugby Union is offering hundreds of tickets for public sale with just days to go before the kick off at 2.00pm on Saturday. More than 600 temporary seats have been installed in the lower tier of the ground to give as many people as possible the chance to watch the first Wales home game under new Head Coach Warren Gatland.

The tickets can be bought from 9.00am on Thursday, February 7th 2008 through Ticketline UK by personal callers at their shop in Westgate Street, Cardiff or by telephone on 02920 230 130.

The shop situated at Gate 3 on Westgate Street will be open from 9.00am right through until kick-off on Saturday but the tickets are expected to sell out before then.

The temporary seats were installed after the stadium sold out for the Scotland and France home matches more than a week ago. Some tickets are still available for the Wales v Italy match but they are selling fast.

The WRU Head of Ticketing, Julie Paterson, said: “There has been huge interest in the Scotland match especially since Wales beat England at Twickenham last weekend. All the tickets for the Scotland game were already sold by then but we decided to install the temporary seating because the demand was so great.

“There are only a limited number and we expect these to be snapped up, so we’d urge anyone to pick up the phone or pop into Ticketline UK as quickly as they can to avoid disappointment.”

Tickets are available from Ticketline UK on Westgate Street Cardiff or by calling 02920 230130 from 9.00am, Thursday 7th February 2008.
