Bulky Canuck forwards Jebb Sinclair and Nanyak Dala usually throw their weight around as part-time security officers.
Now the hosts want to drag the Welsh into a dog-fight and call time on the tourists with a shock win in Toronto.
Canada coach Kieran Crowley said: “It makes me laugh when people say that we’re the underdogs because we’ve only got four players who play at a standard below the Welsh players. Most of the guys go to university or have other jobs.”
As well as nightclub door staff, the Canucks are made up of teachers, builders and landscapers.
Canada have only beaten Wales once in 14 Tests – back in 1993 – and Crowley has rubbished talk that his men will face a rookie visiting side.
Crowley said: “Wales may have inexperienced players in terms of playing for their country but they are all professional.
“They play in the Magners League and Heineken Cup, seven days a week and 24 hours a day – that’s their job.”
