Second-placed Vardre, who have two games in hand over the leaders, came from behind to beat Aberavon Quins 15-5, while Tonna (28-10 winners at Cwmgors) and Cwmavon (31-0 victors at home to Brynamman) are tied for third.

Dunvant are still favourites to win League 2 West, despite their match being postponed because Banwen couldn’t field a team. Second placed Carmarthen Athletic smashed Seven Sisters 65-22, but are two points behind, having played four more games than the leaders.

Penclawdd are in charge in League 3 West, but were held to a 22-all draw by nearest challengers Trimsaran. At the other end of the table, Hendy grabbed their first win of the season – a 17-13 result at home to Amman United.

League 4 West leaders Pontarddulais made hard work of a 22-13 win over strugglers Cefneithen, while nearest challengers Ammanford were forced to pull out all the stops before beating Cardigan 16-12.

Glynneath are making a late charge in League 4 South West, a hard-fought 12-11 win over Morriston moving them into second place, but they still have an uphill climb to catch Heol y Cyw. The leaders had the weekend off when their match at bottom-placed Glais was postponed, and they would need a sudden loss of form to let go of the title.

The winners of League 5 West is anybody’s guess, with three teams tied on 51 points. Leaders Llanybydder lost 18-12 at home to Tycroes, with Aberaeron (21-17 winners at Gowerton) and Burry Port (31-7 winners at Penygroes) making no mistake to draw level.

League 5 South West leaders BP Llandarcy battled to a 7-0 win at Ystradgynlais, but Glyncorrwg are only three points behind with a game in hand after their 37-17 victory at Crynant.
