Canada tickets near sell out

The game against New Zealand on Saturday 25th November is already a sell-out and the only tickets left are for the match with 2007 Rugby World Cup rivals Canada on Friday night (kick-off 7.30 pm).

Sales rocketed through the 60,000 barrier after the Welsh win over the Pacific Islands and demand of the £10 and £5 tickets is expected to exceed supply over the next three days.

“We’ve been selling hundreds of tickets every hour and we look set to match the full house we had for Fiji in last year’s Friday night game in the Invesco Perpetual Series,” said WRU Group Chief Executive Roger Lewis.

“We’ve had two great attendances in the opening two games in the series and Friday night’s game will be the perfect chance for the Welsh side to prepare for their game against the mighty All Blacks the following weekend. The tickets have been priced to allow families to come to see Wales in action. But with so few tickets left, anyone wishing to come to the Millennium Stadium this week had better move quickly.”

To cater for the late rush the Millennium Stadium ticket office, at 98 St Mary Street, will remain open until 6.00pm on Monday and Tuesday night and 7.00pm on Wednesday and Thursday night. Tickets can still be purchased from the WRU’s official ticket agents, Ticketmaster, by calling 08705 582582 or by logging onto www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
