Tickets will then be available to personal callers only from the Millennium Stadium Ticket Shop, 98 St Mary Street, Cardiff, but it is not expected that tickets will be available for purchase on Friday. The ticket shop will remain open until 6pm this evening (Tuesday) and 7pm tomorrow (Wednesday).
Wales’s final game against New Zealand on November 25th is already a sell-out. Wales coach Gareth Jenkins said, “We are incredibly lucky with the support we receive from our fans. Playing at the Millennium Stadium in front of a full crowd gives the players a huge boost and everything is set for an entertaining game of rugby on Friday night.”
Friday night is also Children in Need night and the Millennium Stadium and WRU will be getting into the spirit for the BBC’s charity night. Wales/Cymru bobble hats are being sold at the ground in aid of Children in Need and the Wales players and management have played their part with a £1,000 donation to the charity.
The fun doesn’t stop there: the WRU’s title sponsors for the November series of matches, Invesco Perpetual, are also putting their hands in their pockets. They will donate ‘a significant figure’ to the Children in Need fund if the original man mountain, Scott Quinnell, manages a feat he has never before achieved – he will attempt a penalty goal at half-time at the match on Friday night – a sight not to be missed!
All this will add to the truly family atmosphere at the Millennium stadium on Friday night. The entertainment will star 10-year-old Cardiff harpist Benjamin J Creighton Griffiths who has already raised over £6,500 for Children in Need by selling his own harp recordings. Côr Cymru 2005 winners Serendipity will also perform at the game while 16-year-old Sophie Talyor Moore will sing the National Anthem.
