Reebok Regional U20 preview
The Blues were 54-7 winners over the Dragons in a one-sided affair at Abercynon last month; a result that left the Blues on top of the pile. However, they are sure to find the Scarlets much tougher opposition when the sides meet at Leckwith Stadium; the Scarlets last outing ended with a 35-5 success over the Dragons at Virginia Park, Caerphilly.
Meanwhile, the Ospreys, who are hot on the heels of the Blues, must travel to Rodney Parade this evening for a game against the struggling Dragons. The region came out on top 22-13 when the sides met earlier in the competition, after the initial game between the sides had been postponed due to a serious injury to Richard Kelly.
The Dragons will be hoping to use their home advantage to good effect having lost their three games to date. High Performance Manager Ron Schottle said: “It has not been a good start to the season in terms of results, but as far as developing the players, I think we are pleased. It would be nice if the boys could register a victory over a very good Ospreys side.”
