“On the morning of the game we always assess the weather conditions and consult the management of both teams involved and we have taken a collective decision to close the roof, which should benefit players and spectators alike, not least because Gareth Jenkins’s side will have a dry ball to play with.”
Roof closes on sell-out crowd
Bosses have confirmed the state of the art retractable roof will be closed to keep the winter rain away from the, now officially, sold-out crowd.
“There’s going to be an incredible atmosphere with a sell-out crowd at the Millennium Stadium tonight, even more so because our closed roof has been deployed to trap every ounce of atmosphere inside as well as to keep the rain on the outside,” said Millennium Stadium, chief executive Paul Sergeant.
