Ebbw Vale are the new leaders, after a 39-22 triumph over bottom club Glamorgan Wanderers. The Steelmen ran in five tries to go top for the first time this season, while the Wanderers endured their eighth consecutive game without a win. Nic Aiono, Bryan Shelbourne, Craig Cleaver, Simon Hunt and Greg Roberts all went over while Luke Ford grabbed two for the Wanderers.
Neath returned to winning ways with an Arwel Thomas inspired win over Cardiff at The Gnoll. The former Wales fly-half scored a try and landed six kicks in the 27-19 victory.
Dafydd Lockyer was the hero at Sardis Road, as his hat-trick helped Pontypridd to a 32-17 win over Maesteg. There were also 12 points from the boot of Dai Flanagan.
Ben Flower and James Lewis scored, as Bedwas added to last week’s surprise win over Neath, with a 15-11 win over Bridgend at Bridge Field.
Swansea won for the first time in five games, as they beat Llandovery 15-10. Two All Whites scores from David Blyth and Leigh Bevan were enough to beat the men from Churchbank, whose points all came from centre John Elrick.
The weekend’s other fixture between Cross Keys and Aberavon was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
