– This is the off-the-field battle between the two coaches with the most experience in European club rugby. Guy Noves has a 71 per cent success rate over Toulouse‘s 63 games in nine seasons – including three final appearances and two wins. Gareth Jenkins will be in charge of his 56th game with the Scarlets and so far has a 62 per cent success rate – including two semi-final appearances

– Top English Referee Chris White, who was in charge of the 2003 final when Toulouse beat Perpignan 22-17 in Dublin, tonight equals the Heineken Cup record of 27 matches by Ireland‘s Dave McHugh. It will be his third tournament match at Stradey Park – the first was in 1999 / 2000 when the Scarlets beat Ulster 20-3 and his last visit was the quarter-final last season when Biarritz Olympique won 27-10

– He has been in charge of six matches involving Toulouse – and the 1996 and 2003 champions have won the lot
