No. 8 Emyr Christopher led the rout with a hat-trick and there were two each for Jamie Henthorn, David Willy and young hooker Anthony Corsi, while one each went to Mark Evans, Mike Butler, Jeff Hobbs, Richard Thomas Mark O’Leary, Andrew Crawley, brothers Alex and John Luff and skipper Keith Stewart, making 14 seperate scorers.

Top of the table Llangennech won 17-5 at Tonmawr in a tough game that saw former Wales tourist Lenny Woodard score after 40 seconds and passed former Wales wing Wayne Proctor as the highest-ever try-scorer in Welsh league history. Llangennech hit back as scrum half Chris Davies, wing Brad Kierstad and centre Mark  Bowen scored tries and Mark Jones addded the final conversion.

Maesteg remain second after a good 13-0 win over Whitland at Llynfi Road with scrum half Richard Morgan scoring a try and on-loan Austin Howells placing a penalty before centre Nicky Walsh clinched the win in the dying seconds with a try.

Carmarthen Athletic fly half Julian Howells scored a try, two conversions and a penalty in a 22-12 win over Bridgend Athletic as full back Dan Jones and centre Jonathan Morgan also crossed, while the Athletic notched two tries and a Stuart Morris conversion.

Blackwood’s fine effort failed by 27-17 at Beddau, where home coach Brett Davey converted two penalty tries and one by Christian Bundy, as well as placing two penalties. Blackwood scored tries by forwards Meads, McDonald and Curtis and Jason Jones converted one.

Fleur de Lys pulled off the surprise of the night as they downed UWIC 30-7, gaining much- needed basement points. Brett Green kicked two conversions and two penalties and tries  came from Richard Jones (2), Gwyn Morris and Mike Roberts. Richard Whyffin’s try for the students was goaled by fly half Phil Dolman.

In Division Two East, leaders Ystrad Rhondda fell 21-5 at Croesyceiliog as the Gwent club moved to third spot behind Newport Saracens.
