David said…

“A convincing win, but against a mediocre side. More work needed on cutting down handling errors (poor communication?) and increasing fitness so that they can compete for the full 80 mins. (and not just in patches). Expect a comfortable win over Canada, but NZ test will show how much development is needed to compete at top level.”

Ges thinks…

“Great commitment and a great result, although the Fijians maybe never played as well as they could. Full marks for the defending in the first half and then the excellent running play. Build on this performance and the future will look even better!”

And Gavin commented…

“I was glad to see Wales put out a great performance against Fiji. It will give them confidence now and hopefully they can keep this up in there forthcoming games against Canada and New Zealand. I was very impressed by the backs especially Mark Jones and Jamie Robinson who have exceptional pace. Dwayne peel is also looking to turn out as a great talent.

Martyn Williams played his heart out and sonny parker is turning out to be a great player with a fantastic pass to Mark Jones to score a try in the second half. The boys should take this game as a confidence boost and their flair they showed was great to watch. i will definitely be buying my ticket for the next match against Canada. keep it up boys!”
