Swansea scrum-half Rhodri Jones may miss the rest of the season after suffering a fractured cheekbone and eye socket in last weekend’s Welsh Premiership match against Ebbw Vale.

The injury was sustained in brawl which broke out in the first half of a match the All Whites eventually won 21-17

Swansea coach John Connolly said Jones would be out for between six and eight weeks.

Connolly told Swansea’s website: ‘He is absolutely shattered by what’s happened and you have to feel sorry for him.

He has been playing very well in the last few weeks and he proved that with the solo try he scored on Saturday.’
