This week, Wales coach Steve Hansen will be having what must be like a recurring nightmare for the world’s top rugby coaches – how to stop Jonah Lomu.
Clive Woodward’s English side were mesmerised by the big man, but French coach Bernard Laporte’s tactics kept Lomu at bay.
So how will Hansen handle him?
“He’s big, powerful and fast and can change a game by himself,” said Hansen.
“Quite clearly he’s a freak.”
Hansen is keeping his game plan to himself, and hopes that the defensive tactics he employs will be enough to keep Wales’ winning streak alive.
Lomu has played 62 Tests and scored 37 tries – second only to Christian Cullen in New Zealand’s rugby history.
