The Division 3 West B leaders cruised into the last eight for the second straight season after beating Blaina 36-10 last weekend. It means Nant are now battling on three fronts for major silverware as they are already into the West Wales Plate semi-finals, where they will meet Pantyffynnon in March.
Rhys Edwards scored twice, with Gwyn Pierce, Dafydd Lewis and Rhys Schiavone grabbing their other tries. Meirion Davies kicked a penalty and four conversions.
CRCC stayed on track to reclaim the WRU National Bowl title they won in 2014 after an impressive 33-12 triumph over Tylorstown carried them into the quarter-finals. But while there was joy for the gthem, it was the end of the line for St Alban’s cup dreams as they were beaten 20-11 at home by Oakdale.
Oakdale will host Aberaeron in March, while Bridgend Sports’ reward for their tense 9-8 win over Dollgellau is a home tie with Pontyclun, who edged past RTB Ebbw Vale 12-9.
Pentyrch’s bold bid to reach the Principality Stadium went up in flames as they were beaten 25-0 by Penygraig, who now head to Abergavenny.
