I’m Going Nowhere – Hansen
Wales coach Steve Hansen has hit back at his critics, calling them “ill-informed” and vowing to stay on in the job.
Hansen has been under pressure from certain parts of the media after last weekend’s 55-3 defeat in New Zealand, but he is standing his ground.
“The only way I’ll leave Wales before my contract is up is if the WRU sack me,” he said from New Zealand, where he is enjoying a two-week holiday.
“They’ll have to drag me out of Wales to get rid of me. I’m not going to be hounded out by ill-informed critics – none of whom even bothered to come out on tour to see what was happening.
“I’m not going to finish my contract early by walking out on the guys who have spent so much time supporting me and the team management.
“I have a clear conscience and I’m looking forward to getting back to Wales and getting back to work with the boys.”
Hansen returns to Wales next Monday (July 7)
