Former Welsh rugby stars Mark Ring and Glen Webbe along with former Wales football international David Giles, the owners of Zero

Zero 32, have already dipped into their pockets to ensure the Wales captain could afford to head down under.

But now the generous-hearted restaurant owners have arranged a fundraising send-off for Steve Hansen’s men before head to Australia later this month.

“In many ways this is a step on from the sponsorship deal we arranged with Colin, now we want to be seen helping the rest of the squad,” said Ring, who played in the 1987
World Cup in Australia.

“We are only a small business still finding its feet but hopefully we are leading the way for other business in Wales to get behind the

national cause at the World Cup.

“Everyone in Wales gets so much out of the national team winning that I think we should all help out when things are not going so well. The boys need everyone’s support.

“We’re only a small sporting nation so everyone needs to stick together and then I’m sure the good times will return. There are already some signs of improvement.

“England went through 20 lean years but now businesses are queueing up to sponsor them.”
Tables of ten are available for the dinner and auction on Friday, September 26 where supporters will get the chance to rub shoulders with the likes of Charvis, Iestyn Harris and Martyn Williams.
