There’s more to come – Hook

James Hook believes Scotland will arrive in Cardiff with a point to prove after they fell to an opening defeat to England but has warned there is more to come from Wales.

Wales host Scotland at the Millennium Stadium on Sunday and Andy Robinson’s side will be looking for their first victory but even after impressing in Dublin, Hook reckons there is room for improvement in the Welsh camp.

“Scotland will be tough opponents after losing to England,” he said.

“They will have something to prove, so we have got to be aware of that.

“But there’s more to come from us and we will be looking for improvements for next week.

“After the way the boys performed in the World Cup, everyone realises we’ve got to step up and not just settle for being good players.

“We want to kick on and better ourselves.

“It was the second time I’ve been part of a winning team in Dublin and it was an amazing feeling.

“Everyone knows how well Ireland are doing provincially and everyone expected them to step up internationally.

“So for us to turn them over on their own patch is superb and will give us confidence for the rest of the campaign.”
