Quins put record on the line

The Premiership tie between Carmarthen Quins and Pontypridd on Saturday entails a ‘top end’ if not a top of the table clash as the fifth and third placed clubs respectively go head to head.

The game will kick off early at 12 noon with regard to the England v Wales international to follow.

Carmarthen have surged up the table of late and now lie just two points adrift of Ponty albeit having played three games more.

The Valley Commandos will also be acutely aware of their league record at Carmarthen Park, where they have never won, and surely in expectation of another difficult encounter in the offing.

The Ponty management make changes on rotation within the squad, putting their faith in the strength in depth and versatility of the pool of players at hand.

Adam Thomas, back from long term injury, swaps from centre to full back, with skipper Chris Dicomidis moving to the blind side flanker’s berth. Andrew Jenkins continues to cover at scrum half on permit from Whitland.
