Flanker Tom Parry scored two of his sides five tries and there were 15 points from the boot of Rhodri Carlton-Jones.
Last season’s Division 2 East champions Ystrad Rhondda showed their intent in the new division as they beat Tredegar 65-7. Alex Webber helped himself to four tries and Dai Graton got a hat-trick in a 10 try haul.
This division also saw two draws – 30-30 between Heol-y-Cyw and Treorchy, while Ynysybwl tied with Penallta 17-17 despite the home team scoring three tries and conceding only one.
In the other divisions, a hat-trick from Ryan Jenkins saw his Bedlinog side trounce Fleur de Lys 54-3 in Division 2 East. It was also a good day for Senghenydd, who scored seven tries, beating Abercynon 54-22 and Llantrisant held onto a 22-20 victory over Nelson.
Caerphilly overcame a tough test against Croesyceillog in Division 3 East with a 29-25 win while in Division 4 South East, Llandaff saw off their local rivals CRC Caerdydd with an 11-6 win.
Cardiff Saracens defeated Sully Sports 22-21 in Division 6 South East. Cefn Coed won on their travels, 37-29 at Markham in Division 5 South East
