Despite winning four of their five games so far this season, Bedwas are taking nothing for granted as they prepare to take on the Wizards.

“I was delighted with our bonus point victory last week” said head coach Steve Law.

“I believe I am right in saying that Bedwas have never won at the Talbot Athletic Ground so this is the chance for our current squad to re-write the history books.”

Bedwas make four changes to the starting line up that faced Llanelli last time out. Eighteen year old Hallam Amos comes in to make his Bedwas debut at full back. Rory Budina replaces the injured Ross Wardle on the right wing and Matthew John comes back into the starting 15 on the left flank.

In the only change in the forwards, James Thomas replaces Phil Rees at lock as Bedwas rotate.

The Wizards will be looking for their first win of the season having lost their opening five games. The last time Aberavon had such a bad start was the 1999-2000 campaign.

Head-to-head, Aberavon and Bedwas have met each other 22 times in the Welsh National League with the Wizards leading the series by 17 wins to four, with one match drawn. Bedwas have never won at the Talbot Athletic Ground in 11 attempts.
