The capital city region have crashed to five consecutive defeats, the latest a disappointing 59-22 thumping at the hands of Leinster.
But Davies insists he is under no immediate pressure and reckons the region are entering a major period of change,
“This is the start of a transformation period, we can deliver trophies in the future,” said Davies.
“The board are excellent, one of the best boards I’ve worked for. It’s a case of where we stick together and move it on and we get better, hopefully.
“Peter Thomas’ fantastic. In many ways he’s like me, he hates losing.
“But when I look back through history we’ve been in this position before and we built into winning the Amlin [Cup] and EDF [Energy Cup].
“But that was done over a 10-year period and this is the start of a transformation period again.”
The Blues return to action against Munster at the Arms Park on Friday and are desperate to kick-start their faltering season.
They are without their Welsh international contingent, who continue to prepare for the Dove Men Series in Spala, Poland. But Davies expects a reaction from his charges.
““We are not happy at all that we’ve won only one game at home and this weekend the boys will be fired up. There will be a passionate reaction.”
