The away team got four tries on the board courtesy of John Adderley, Ellis Bennett, Lee Dunsford and Morgan Meachlem. Tondu were resolute but Skewen had the better control throughout as they calmly navigated their way to victory at Pandy Park.
In the East, Dowlais recorded a slender 15-8 win away to Bedliniog. In what was a close encounter, tries by Luke Price and Ceri Morgan put them on top. Points from the boot of Nathan Pritchard then took the game away from a hard-working Bedliniog side. The game was a stop start affair and Dowlais’ defence proved pivotal.
Penclawdd remain winless in the Western division as a strong Whitland side proved to be too much of a stern test for them. After a nearly equal first half Whitland made a couple of changes which changed the game. The cousin pairing of Gino and Nico Zitarro got 2 tries of Whitland’s four tries.
Mountain Ash made it six out of six in the East Central division with a commanding 24-0 win over Rhiwbina. Two tries by David Richards and scores from Steven Brittain and Ewan Rees took the game away from the visitors. Two conversions were also dispatched by Will Holley. Mountain Ash were the more clinical of the two teams and Rhiwbina could not find a way through the steel like defence.
In the Northern division Caernarfon put 50 points on the board against struggling Dinbych. The away side are now just second from bottom and continue their losing streak. The home side now sit in eighth in a tight league with just five points separating them from first spot.
Ruthin carried on their winning streak by earning their third win on the trot with a 22-5 win over Llangefni. Ruthin stay top of the table while Llangefni are just four places off bottom spot.
