Cabango leaps clear in try scoring charts

Theo Cabango is proving a major handful in attack for Cardiff

Theo Cabango has put all teams in the Indigo Group Premiership on red alert after shooting to the top of the try scoring charts.

Cabango scored twice in Cardiff’s away victory to Llanelli at Parc y Scarlets to jump ahead of RGC’s Zachary Clow and Rhodri King and clubmate Alun Rees who have crossed the whitewash on four occasions

Cabango’s pace and lethal finishing saw him jump to five tries in a round of action which saw all away teams claim victory over their hosts.

Cabango and Clow are proving a handful to contain in attack, as they share the highest number of line-breaks as well with five, along with Newport centre Matt O’Brien.

As expected, RGC’s Dion James became the first player to smash through the half century barrier for total points. He currently leads the list with 58 points while Merthyr’s Gareth Thompspn just needs two more points to reach 50 while Newport’s Will Reed is in third place with 47.

Hard graft is proving no stranger in North Wales with RGC duo Bryn Jones and Jordan Jones leading the tackle charts with 45 and 44 tackles respectively while in attack, Aaron Pinches (Merthyr), Morgan Allen (Cardiff) and Dale Stuckey (Pontypridd) have beaten the most defenders (15).
