The game will be played at the Cyncoed campus, with the winner taking a step closer to a place in the final at Sixways with a semi-final against the winners of Exeter against Hartpury.
“We want to retain our status as the number one university in Wales and that adds a little bit extra to the fixture. It was very close at St Helen’s and we are expecting another tight one,” said Cardiff Met head coach Danny Milton.
“It has been an ultra-competitive tournament to date this season and things are only going to get harder in the knock-out phase.
“I’m sure Cardiff Uni will be looking to put right some of the missed opportunities they had against us when we met earlier in the season. It is going to be a big game and a massive occasion for student rugby in Cardiff.”
Cardiff University will pose a significant threat to the Archers after their 38-32 win at Hartpury two weeks ago which secured their place in the knockout stages, while Cardiff Met beat Exeter 36-14 in their last fixture. Swansea University will also be in action tonight with an away quarter-final tie against Loughborough University.
