Both Ferndale and Tonna, who clash at Porthcawl (2.30pm), have gone through the pool stages and quarter-final without losing. That makes them both seven out of seven. They are both unbeaten in their respective leagues. Tonna have lost once in seven games in 3 West Central C, while Ferndale are four from four in 3 East Central C.

Tonna have been scoring tries for fun this season and reached the last four with an 11 try demolition job on Hollybush in the quarter final as they romped to a 73-7 victory. Tonna have former Wales and Ospreys prop Craig Mitchell playing in their back row and their current tight head, Josh Jones, just played for the Central Glamorgan XV against West Wales. But the key man could well be full back Morgan Kemeys.

In a recent game against a struggling Pantyfynnon side he notched a club record 41 points in an 81-5 away win. He ran in five tries and kicked eight conversions. Pontardawe meet Crumlin in the other semi-final at Llanharan (2.00pm kick-off). Crumlin will arrive as the top team in 3 East C with six straight wins and they also went through the pool stages unbeaten.

They followed up those six consecutive victories with a 51-15 home quarter-final win over Holyhead. Their opponents beat Beaufort 35-20 in the last round after winning five of their six pool games.
