Parry’s defensive efforts rewarded in latest rankings

With Ponty finding results hard to come this season, their defence has come under immense pressure at times but Parry has manfully stood up the challenge.

With 151 tackles next to his name, he leads the his clubmate Kristian Parker by six in the tackles section. The fact the Ponty duo have made considerably more tackles than their nearests challengers shows how much they have been involved in Pontypridd’s defensive effort.

Parry has nearly a century of post tackle involvements with 98 to lead Cardiff’s Nathan Hudd by three while he is also hot on the heals of Llandovery’s Stuart Worrall in the jackal department. Worrall leads the way with 80 while Parry is in second place with 70. He is also second in the counter ruck attempts category with 22, with Cardiff’s Aaron Pinches leading the way with 34.
