Pontycymmer and Fairwater took the chance to join Abercwmboi on 48 points each in the South-East as the latter club were without a match. Pontycymmer gained their 16th win as they crushed Cowbridge by 57-7 but Fairwater were almost caught out by Heol y Cyw and only just made it home by 27-25.

Bala had gained only one point from sixteen matches, but somehow doubled their score after drawing 19-19 away to Caernarfon in the North, amazing repeating their earlier effort at home to their opponents. Llangefni regained some of their cup form to improve to third place after a 34-10 win over Llandudno and Newtown beat Rhyl by 31-7.

Cwmgors regained the lead of the South-West after a 20-10 home win against Pyle, but Taibach were without a match and both have two games left to fight out the title. Briton Ferry fell to a surprise 25-10 home loss against Alltwen.

There is a terrific battle in the West where Loghor won 95-0, Pembroke Dock Quins 50-24 and Llanelli Wanderers 62-3. All three are level on 48 points, but Loughor have the games in hand over their rivals.
