Cardiff hoping for Moore of the same!

Llandovery’s Jack Maynard and Cardiff RFC’s Dewi Cross have the points and try scoring charts wrapped up respectively with the Drovers pivot leading the way with 183 points from his league campaign while Cross has delivered 17 tries for Steve Law’s men who at the moment are concentrating on this Sunday’s Cup showdown against Newport at Principality Stadium.

Cross is also leading the line-breaks category with 17 but Bridgend’s Edd Howley is close behind on 15. The only other two sections still in doubt – unless something miraculous occurs – are dominant tackles and choke attempt tackles.

Llanelli’s Tom Phillips leads the charge for dominant tackles with 15 successes but he has a posse of players breathing down his neck with 14. Ebbw Vale’s Gethin Williams and Newport duo Elliot Frewen and George Young are among those hot on his heels while Aberavon’s Joe Tomalin-Reeves in looking over his shoulder when it comes to choke attempt tackles. The Wizards flanker had attempted 18 while Cardiff second row Sean Moore is only one behind.

Moore, along with Morgan Allen have had outstanding seasons with Cardiff and figure prominently in a number of categories. Only one player (Bridgend’s Zach O’Driscoll) has been involved in hitting more rucks than Moore while the Cardiff second row has made more ball rip attempts than any other player.

Allen has made more carries than any other player while no other player has beaten as many as the Cardif back row.
